Clinical Research Coordinator – Stanford Cancer Clinical Trials Office

What year did you start working at Stanford?

2018

What kind of work do you do at Stanford?

As a research coordinator at the Stanford Cancer Center, I manage the clinical, regulatory, and financial operations of large, multi-site clinical trials for patients with hematologic malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia and multiple myeloma. I interface with external sponsors and Stanford investigators to coordinate studies from start-up to close-out. My job involves interacting with patients on a daily basis and I am constantly inspired by their resilience and courage in approaching their cancer diagnosis.

What is your hometown?

I was born in Boston, MA but grew up in Melbourne, FL. In 2013, I arrived at Stanford to start school, and have stayed here ever since!

What is your ethnic/cultural background?

Chinese-American

What kinds of interests and hobbies do you have?

I love dancing and have been involved with hip-hop dance groups while I was a student. Most recently, I performed in the annual Theater and Performance Arts (TAPS) department showcase. I have also been a member of Stanford Wushu, a Chinese performance-based martial arts club, for the past five years and have competed at the national level with my team. I am also a huge foodie (dim sum and sushi are my favorites) and love trying out cuisines from different cultures!
